I'll never forget the first time:

- being a channel marker
- Belly flopping onto sand from the water
- loosing control while trying to stop and accidentally jumping while someone was trying to pass downwind. Turned out okay but the dude was pissed.

Thanks for posting these. More fun to look at this stuff than photos from childhood. I especially like the old sanbar road and any shot that show what that whole scene looked like. Does anybody know whatever became of scary Jerry?

Is it just me or do those kites look just like the Deltas every kitemaker and their brother is going full force on.

All this money on R&D and it is there all along. Funny how things come around full circle.
