So it was all a rush to judgement? The pulley broke? When did this revelation occur? Seems a bit self serving KK. Any proof?

i've got 4 replacement pulleys on my trix kite that are good to 1250lb. =)
posted a pic of my first replacement on fksa about 15months ago... but i dont remember my login actually =/ i also said: "why did i only replace one? when will the next one break?" My kite was not very old. My post also said "my leading line bridle system was still in-tact and the pulley was not attached anymore". This was about 2 months after the ordeal and thats how i knew it broke off.

i wouldnt lie about this pulley given everything involved. Funny i had 2 kites break that day (apparently my other kite on the beach got lofted during the craziness).

a guy that goes by lunchmeat told me it happened to some more kites...i personally did not witness the pulley break on anyone else, but he's a kite repair guy for a major shop in south fl. also a sound mechanic.

:::edit:
i remembered my login name 'marleykiter' ---- couldnt find the picture on fksa. here is the picture from my server uploaded 6/6/09:

not too surprising - when we go out at Rooster and it gusts 50 - we have bridles fail, panels blowout, chicken lines snap - the gear is just not designed for that kinda force...

True that Gman. I decided to go landboarding when the national weather service issued a tornado warning in my area a couple years back and I ended up breaking all kinds of stuff.

Kevin, think you may need to go on a ' hearts and minds ' campaign to win over the NW kite crowd.

They are actually a pretty good group of guys/gals - except for a few Razz ..

hahaha no its not a helmet and the cops only showed up when a few of us were getting pulled by my car and passing around pringles. the cop waved and smiled.

when any other car was within a half mile - definitely took myself and the kite off the road. trainer+longboard was hellafun at one point the kite crashed and i successfully relaunched while still riding. cool how bests and that trainer flies backwards when over-depowered.

REALLY? You seem to be such a level headed, safety conscious type of guy?
Jesus, somebody take the shovel out of this guys hands before he hits china.

FYI, there are no turtles east of the cascades.
