OK Kiters,
Moved out here from Portland and I am looking to meet up with some locals. I live north of Hefner about an hour and was hoping to kite Hefner this weekend.
Would love to meet up with someone from the area. Sure I will run into the locals but at this point not even sure about which side of the lake folks launch from. Sure I'll be able to find some info online but was wondering if anyone from the area reads this forum and wouldn't mind showing me around or if you'd like to carpool out. I'm in Enid, OK
I'm an intermediate kiter. Stay upwind no problem jump a lot and like going big and don't mind wiping out hard. Just looking for a general heads up and kiting buddy.
Thanks! |

if OK disappeared from the map I wouldn't even know it. I certainly wouldn't miss it. |

Seriously! My brother was like, "Dude they call em the flyover states for a reason." But was pretty nice out there today! I'm living up in Enid for a year so it's an hour south to Hefner and an hour north to plains salt lake--which is about 5 feet deep everywhere!
Sweet locals I met today. And I thought I was gonna be bored off my a ^&* while I was here. Phew!
