Corvallis to Gresham! j/k, but I'd really like to get the hell out of Oregon... Was looking into Cabarete awhile back so who knows!
On a side note, this wind that we're having HERE is insane. I put a B3 up in my front yard last night at like 10:00PM and was getting hucked around in the gusts. Never have been lifted off the ground with a trainer kite in neutral! |

Any big parks/schools around there that we could start landboarding in? Last time I drove through Troutdale I saw a couple of big grassy areas that looked wide open and windy. might be fun, we could get gabe to come out from the coast and show us how its done... |

I plan on taking my small camera on the climb (Killi is 19500')and getting a new slr cam for the safari. Bam has been helping to steer me into a decent cam. Now all I have to do learn how to use it! I will post some pics when I return. I look forward to seeing lions and leopards oh my!

i just got back from oahu. only three days of wind out of 9 but, was great to sit on the beach and play with my child in the sand while the wife was floating on the air matteras in 75 degree water.
kailua was a nice beach to kite from. the local were friendly and had not trouble launching/landing on the small site. there was flat water on the right and wind driven waves on the left. you could sail for a mile at a time. i would recommend it to anyone.

heya travelin' kitebuddies,
lodging in spi: def stay at the la quinta: the very northernmost lodging, from the bank of rooms on the north side of the property (if your eyes are good) you can monitor the action on the south and north flats on the Laguna Madre, launch from the beach the hotel sits on for killer downwinders in the waves when its blowing ne, good clean relatively new rooms, for about 60usd/night gets you breakfast and check this: two free beers and nachos at hapy our. whaddadeal!
phil, when are you going to be in cozumel? just made travel arrangements for feb9-24,staying in the cc area, maybe we can go together on a boat to isla passion, or just hook up w/the real crew who are staying out north as well.
wind,
