Mon Jun 09, 08 6:52 pm Lost Board at PDX-TO BE RETURNED Right on! |
|
|
Yeah. Lost my board. No didn't have name on it. Sucks I was just looking at a post where people were talking about how frequent you get em back when you put names on it. Couldn't body drag out fast enough and by the time my buddy got out the current had taken it.
If anyone finds please PM me for a reward. It is a Naish Sol 133 or 136 (can't remember pretty sure 133cm) 07.
Wintler was totally awesome. Been there myself and skunked before but it was great this time around. I had another board with me so I ended up just going out on that and having a great time.
Yes, my name number and "reward if found" are written on my other board at this time. I'm an idiot. If anyone comes across the Naish Sol south of PDX I'll hook you up.

Other than that had an old beater board with me that I took out and had a great time on. Was easy getting upwind on that thing (it is a monster) but checked all the spots where something might wash up and no luck.
You all should come out tomorrow. My buddy and I ended up not going from frenchmans but took off from Wintler Park. Saw a couple people shoot off from PDX as we were winding down. See ya there tomorrow! Last edited by Joshiebaby on Sat Jun 21, 08 10:30 am; edited 2 times in total |

to everybody who doesn't have their name and # on their board:
1: Grab permanent marker
2: write the following:
"Name"
"Phone Number"
"Reward if found"
Plus, even if you don't loose it, helps you find your board if there are multiple of the same on the beach. Plenty of '07 LF Recoil 136 boards, have had to look at the name on the board a few times to figure out which of them was mine. |

Kevin lost a board in the water at pdx today too.
Its small, made of wood, and has wheels.
I'm not sure if there is a reward...
How was Wintler?
We saw you guys out there when we were sk8n. |

The water had a death control ray on it and sucked it in. I saw it kinda floating around out there, put the kite down, looked back and it was gone. Ha. Then I figured it was a good night for a swim and did some poo water exploration.
I figure it's like losing your keys in molten lava, forget it man, it's gone.
It was like thunderdome out there.
Skate shred was sick for sure though. _________________ get bolognied |

Good call description would help. It is a Naish Sol 133 or 136 07.

Damn, I wish I could have gotten some of that, watched the wind all day at work then had to stick around until too late. How late were you able to kite on the water?
Sorry to hear about the board, I tell myself every time I remember that I'm going to write my name/number on mine as soon as I get home. This usually happens just as I'm getting on the water. |

We were kiting till at least 7--but it was building even as we were leaving and we saw a few launching from PDX. I think that Wintler is actually better in a real strong south wind though because you don't get the wind shaddow.

I ran into someone with a cooler full of cold PBR's. . .no boards however. That thing is at the ocean by now with how strong the current is running. |

Dude it was good once I got my second board... Does that make sense? F. I didn't think so either.
As per the 1 hour you headed out right now? You done the Frenchman's bar thing or is that lame? I cut outta work right now so I'm down for whatever. Promise not to jack up your lines...

So i have been watching craigslist and ebay like mad. I saw someone selling the board outta Vancouver. It still had a day left and was bid up to 180 or so. Usually been seeing these things going for at least 300 more like 350. Told the guy I could describe it as I had one of the fins sorta jacked up.
Told him I'd give him 100 bucks, a 6-pack and some good karma if the description matched.
He took it off of ebay and I am supposed to meet up with him today. TOTALLY STOKED RIGHT NOW. Didn't want to have to pay full price for that board twice!
