I think these were $450 (kite only)... Don't know if that's a good deal or not. And they don't have much kite gear on here. I've only ever seen BEST kites, but there are wetsuits every now and then.

Why is the '08 bull 7m linked above 184$ less than the '08 roo 7m ? 416$ is a great price for a new '08 kite Shocked I thought the bull's were more $$$.

I called their shop and they said they get a great price on the bularoo because of the volume they sell

There is no 2008 Bularoo

That's a nice little eye grabber to get you to call in

My bad...checked the best website and they're reissuing the 2007 design under a 2008 sticker.

Where did you see that on the website? Best does have a 2008 bularoo , different valves and LE material. I specifically asked the sales rep if they were the new 2008 not the 2007 and he claimed it was

Local = person

Not a company. You should buy from a local person. A face you can talk to instead of a 1-800 number to call.

If something goes wrong you know who to go see.

No doubt, I have bought most of my gear there as well, but filling out my quiver required some bargain hunting

At least support a local company/shop which ever you prefer....

Although its pretty hard not to pass up a Slingshot, we all kite and been supporting the cause since 99....

no 800 number here; just come on by Stevenson 9-5... Were right next to the launch.

Slingshot is a bunch of PEOPLE who are trying to make it here in the gorge. A bunch of hard working talented people who have a solid background in watersports. And a product line that rocks.

If you have a warrenty issue your headed to Stevenson, not shipping your kite off. Their also open all year long.

When your kite only lasts one season, was it that good of a deal anyway?

I agree with supporting local guys. Either a shop or person. If we do not keep buying from our local shops, they will go out of business and then we will not be able to drop in and get a new clip, lines, or what ever you need to get back out on the water quickly. Brand loyalty is one thing, I have my brand and I get that brand from my local shop.

Why would my kite only last one season?

My Bularoo's and my Waroo's are great, zero issues, well accept that one is pink...
