Hey im just getting in kite boarding and am living in corvallis at the moment, I was wondering what size kite is best to take out at Fern Ridge. Im a little guy at about 135lbs, any suggestions? Also are there any other places in the area that are good for kiting?

I seem to recall there being a place near corvallis. It was called, shit, what was the name of that place? Oh yeah, they called it the "ocean". I think I remember someone saying its west of corvallis.

Fer ridge is pretty sketchy man, REALLY gusty. I've tried it in summer but could never get my kite up in the air because the wind is only really strong out in the middle of the lake.

In the winter the water level is low and you can walk out quite a ways, and the wind is usually much better, except the water is waaay worse: cold and nasty (see other pics in this thread)
