Been watching the forecast - been revised down - could go?
today...ne wind 10 to 15 kt...becoming se 5 kt in the
afternoon. wind waves 2 ft. nw swell 11 ft at 13 seconds subsiding
to 9 ft in the afternoon.
.tonight...sw wind 5 to 10 kt...becoming s 10 to 15 kt after
midnight. wind waves 2 ft. w swell 8 ft at 12 seconds. slight
chance of rain after midnight.
.sat...n wind 5 to 10 kt with gusts to 15 kt... backing to w in
the afternoon. wind waves 2 ft. w swell 9 ft at 13 seconds.
slight chance of rain.
.sat night...nw wind 10 to 15 kt with gusts to 20 kt. wind
waves 2 ft. nw swell 9 ft. slight chance of rain.

the ducks are on saturday , so no wind there for most , sunday is on and monday, keep in mind the ocean is a monster with big teeth lately. Its all good as long as you know to bring you head for the game. I lost an old cabrihna yesterday one of my favorite boards ever. I walked to the end of the jetty , pretty scary/spooky place when whave are sending splashes 15 feet over my head after crashing at several different places along the rocks. in the waves with funky up and down wind is intense and amazing, I think I had a heart attack yesterday when I turned around in front of a thick monster as the wind lulled. that thing landed at my feet as I dove my fuel through the zone eeeckin' me out of a bad time. check the last 7 day on I kite for flo....sunday but maybe not saturday. 9 foot swell looks more like 16+ up close and underpowered
and the salmon are running strong so there is lots of sea life to observe if theres no wind.  |

how about a true medford forecast:
epic winds are being delivered at the coast, florence is weak? go south.
Floras frog pond is completly vacant (due to closed campground). And the water is refreshing!
20ft swell at whiskey run, i think im a kite bum  .

looked bleak when we arrived florence at 3:30, but the wind turned on! will post some pics tomorrow - Rollo & Mysterygirl looking good on 9m
waves super fun, solid head and half - got some sick rides and then lost my srt right next to the jetty and chased it in the rip out to the end of the jetty before throwing in the towel. bodysurfed back to beach then ran out to the end of the jetty, but no love.
did get to see mr blowhard killing it from the end of the jetty as the sun was setting , wish I had the camera - superbad.
got a few waves on the twintip and found my srt just 600 yrds down the beach. awesome day - tomorrow looks even better |
