That's funny, I was thinking about that all day. The low water exposed a bunch of big bars down here in Salem area that'd be good to launch off. I've noticed that the hills around S. Salem channel the wind right up the river. Wish the wind would come from the other way now.

How many opportunites do we actually get to kite downtown...
I'm talking a downwinder from Hawthorn to Burnside....The bums will get there thrills...All we have to do is keep our mouths shut and not piss while in the water...Everybody....meet at PKH's place for beers before the downtown downwinder...
Seriously speaking, I think troutdale is currently 16 from the S....I don't think it's going to let off too much since there is a stronger front approaching....Rooster might be a possiblity....

| It can be done. I've hit the willamette more than a dozen times. No I'm not crazy, just live in Sellwood and can hit it after work. I would recomend behind Oaks Park. There is a beach usally big ehough to launch. Maybe I'll see you there.

I don't have to work either so I am in for a downtown session. Post the time and place to meet tomorrow morning and I am all in. I will be moving to Corpus Christ in a week so this will be my last chance to kite Portland downtown.

check out the windbow  i dont think i have ever seen it spike all the way to .3 i dont think we are going to get a normal soutwest storm wind. hopefully some of that east reaches into town so that camas or marine drive gets good.
