tophat has made a lot of movies showing good air gybes. i forget which ones are best. http://www.youtube.com/user/tophatrules . but like others said, you'll probably find a lot of fundamentals to work on first.

without hi-jacking this thread, can someone explain to me how the fixed pulley bar works? I can't quite figure it out.

pulley bars are as old a trick as it gets and a goody for sure
take the stationary end of your pulley and tie your front lines to it ,
run a piece of line through the sheave ,
tie the line to the ends of your bar ,
ending up in a triangle of various degres that allows the pulley to move from side to side when you turn, the leading edge of the kite will help redirect the kite .
you could add some static sheeting above the pulley

but then you might lose the ability to learn to be a better kiter

Tony has long since taken off his fin all together. He still rides those long boards, but I have never ever seen anyone mistreat their boards like him Smile That said, he does handle them pretty good.Shocked Shocked

I actually talked with him today, and he said they taped a new video of him some time a go in a kayak going 25+ mph with a kite...good kiter for sure...

.\a.
