| Don't know much except that every time this has been brought up the conclusion was that there aren't really any. Sounds like some locals are able to kite on the Big Island (potentially on the other side near Hilo), but the launches are less than ideal and few people do it. Good luck figuring it out. If you do it'd be great if you could share your findings. |

| Kona side blows more than Hilo side but still very light. The spot on the Kona side is near the Hilton Waikoloa. |
