That was fast! Thanks Henry!
It was nice to get back on the water after being out for 6 weeks. I took it easy and just cruised strapless on the SRT for a while. Got in a couple of kooky jumps just to feel like flying again. Found out that riding left forward (the bad ankle) was pretty uncomfortable. Right foot forward really wasn't too bad as long as I kept the speed down. Anyway, hope to be back to normal kiting in a couple of more weeks but at least I'm back getting wet!
I'll still be taking some pictures of the Stevenson gang for a while as I can't go out for as long as I used to. See everybody at the beach this weekend.
Tony

Those fuse boards are fun, even better if you take off the straps |

Hey Tony,
Nice Capt. Kirks sticker on the nose of the SRT!
I rode that exact same board in Ventana a couple of times.
I remember having to ride really powered, and it is pretty squirrely.
Just a thought concerning your ankle injury....you may want to get yourself on a bigger strapless surfboard.
Like a 6'4 to 7 foot fish ---or something wide and floaty with big fins.
Not only will you find it's WAY easier on your ankle, but it will be easier to ride flat and drive upwind.
Plus you will actually appreciate having a light wind board you can take out in extremely minimal conditions.
Maybe you already have one...but I had a knee injury I nursed while riding a 6'4 fish and a longboard. It's a big difference from my standard 6'0 potato chip (which is a lot like the SRT only squash tail)
Just a thought. Hope all is well and maybe we will see you out her on the waves before summers end?
