We lost a wind enthusiast…RIP Mike

Well Mike passed away on 9/15/24 on the water at Moiser. From my sources, he had a heart attack and was found face down in the water. Native of Oregon (I believe), 3 decades resident of the gorge area. Amazing athlete in high school (HS) and college
(soccer), Mike found his true passion in the wind and waves of the Columbia—really anywhere there was wind and water. HS classmate of mine from ‘86.

A stark reminder that one never knows when one’s # will
be called so tell your loved ones you love them, enjoy the moment/day, and best to squeeze the marrow out of life.

My condolences go out to his kids, family, and friends.
