Thanks Tim for the link, so I thought I would post it for any others interested in making the trip out tomorrow. This sensor is from Round Mountain which is near Wickiup and has been so far, very accurate. Looks good for tomorrow. PM me if you are interested in going.

the more the merrier! I am just stoked to have some good kite buddies in the area. Here are some photos of last week, Kirk merged all the photos of the Eagle that was flying with us.

Looks like a nice spot.
I added the sensor to windonthewater.com so I can keep an eye on it.

I grew up in Bend and will be heading back there in a couple weeks. How often do you guys hit up Wickiup? About 45-60 mins from my parents' house so I would be interested in hitting it up for a session. How about Odell and some of the other lakes? Looks like fun...

The mountain lakes are always unpredictable; it is really hit or miss. That’s why if you really want to kite you head to the Columbia. Wickiup is good for an after work session if it is spring and a NW wind but definitely not reliable.

PM me if anybody is interested in carpooling from Bend to Rufus on any weekend.

Big kites were needed at Wickiup last night.

Went up there in the winter looking for snow kite spots - does Wickiup freeze over in the winter?
