OK, for the record I kiteboard and I love it! I windsurf and I like it too. Most of my friends are windsurfing and I'm in the process of teaching them how to kite. Trainer sessions followed by 15 knot days where I rig and they watch me jump from the beach while they agonize about rigging their 7meter sheet. You know the deal, right.
So, I took the liberty of posting some questions at iwindsurf.com
Check it

Some of you have been there and posted constructive thoughts and comments and that is great.
The windsurfers who replied to the post have made some very interesting comments and suggestion:
1. Stay clear of lines
2. Kiters are more manuverable so stay up wind if you can.
**3. ONe poster stated that he could not tell when approaching a kite if the guy was going up wind or if said kite was setting up for a jump. I thought this was interesting.
4. Carry a line knife(I wasn't sure if the guy was thinking about sticking the kiter or not.)
I have searched the web for videos about right of way when it comes to kites in close proximity to windsurfers and found nada. If you know of any please post.
See you on the water!
