I am over 200lb. My favorite so far, Airush Compact 5'9", I hope I don't break it. I would like to try the bigger Naish Go-To, seems like a nice all-round board.

My fave gorge surfboards are traditional shortboard shapes, but thinner, narrower and double-glassed - perfect for overpowered conditions when the swell is pumping. Traditional fiberglass rides way smoother than epoxy or other layups in my opinion.
I'm currently riding this shape from Mr. Teboul: https://ktsurfing.com/boards/driver/
A super refined and thin tail is important if you wanna carve a hard bottom turn and not slide out. I like quads better for kiting as they feel faster and get more pop for airs...although they are a little trickier in the bottom turns...feel more twitchy to me.

Nice concave deck on that Trickster. Maybe it would keep me from falling off so much? ;)

It has been so long since grabs have been discussed. I've forgotten most of them and their names as well as what is actually is legit.
I love the grab in this photo a few post ahead of mine. Is it the roast beef grab? If so, where is the horseradish and the Au Jus.

Have you tried small stiff fins?

A few years ago I was on Maui and bouncing out on my bottom turns. The guys in HiTec shop turned me on to stiffer fins - problem solved.
Depends on how much you weigh..... I weigh 180.
something like these - I rde Futures AM4, no longer available.
These look comproabble:

It's an Indy grab.
Not too long ago I watched an episode of Jeff Grosso's (R.I.P.) Loveletters To Skateboarding in which he apologized profusely for inventing the Roast Beef Grab, which he considered the shittiest trick in all of skateboarding. He said he wasn't flexible enough to pull off a Stalefish, so the Roast Beef was his alternative take on it.
