See how easy it is to spoil a perfectly

Some would suggest the comment is back handed compliment and not an accusation. |

the big question is...when can we fly the things....
And how much will they cost? Let me guess $1900 complete this year and when the 08's come out they will blow them out for $699 complete.
I tell ya, kite gear is like crack or cigarettes or some shit.
"Our product is cool, available, and addictive; the job is almost done for us"
Did you say those words in your import meeting?

just to make sure..I am not getting paid for 'pimping' what ever that means. Don;t blame me for being a nerd...and a kite addict ...a lethal combination.
I am not afraid of stating my meaning though. I do try to stay away from name calling and finger pointing although it sometimes is tempting on kiteforum. The pics I took with my canon...the kites were all over the beach...actually other people posted pics before me...
I really can't believe there aren't more people posting, because there surely was a lot of people with cameras there...
So when that is said and done; I hope people make up their own mind about the kites. Otherwise it is hard to say anything about them. I think it is worth giving it a chance...when tried the kite I loved them (7 and 9). This is a pic from the beach..I think almost all the kites in the pics are of the new sigma series.

Here is more info that is flying around in Net space......
Helix
Performance:
The 2008 Helix defines the natural evolution of using technologies to adapt the large depower range required in modern kites. If you are looking for the one kite to work in the widest range of conditions for all styles of riding, look no further than the 2008 Helix. The 2008 Helix emerges as the choice for intermediate through advanced kites seeking the highest performance ride that excels equally in all areas.
Stability, turning, wind range, jumping, upwind ability, free riding, kitelooping, speed, freestyle, waveriding, easy water relaunch, all benefit from the engineering innovations incorporated into Geo-Tech and Sigma.
The static canopy tension provided by Geo-Tech results in a super clean and defined profile that provides solid response thru the entire depower range, and results in a kite with the widest wind range of anything on the market. The Sigma outline provides two significant advantages, first it changes the center of effort in the kite such that this point does not change during the depower range, and secondly Sigma allows the kites wingtip to twist in a manner that initiates lightening quick turning.
The Design: Sigma Shape, Geo-Tech, Supported Leading Edge
Features: Octopus Inflation System, SLE 2:1 - 1:1 Control System, Tunable Bridle System
Sizes: 5,7,9,10,12,14,16 _________________ Cleverly disguised as an adult...

Ten lashings for you Chris!
Anyhoo, sounds like Naish is really invested in the new shape. We'll have to see how she flies when it comes out. |

I don't understand. If it's the one kite quiver with a huge range, then why are there so many sizes of it? |

It says: "If you are looking for the one kite to work in the widest range of conditions for all styles of riding, look no further than the 2008 Helix."
I think they offer all the sizes so you can find the right one. Based on weight, normal wind range ect.
I like having several different sizes so I can be "right on" the sweet spot. _________________ Cleverly disguised as an adult...
