Enjoying looking at all of the posted projects. Well done.

Henry and I have been making an outdoor kitchen outa scrap, and getting the outdoor shower area ready for the outdoor propane water heater.

Y'all are crafty. Nice work.

I have been riding this stationary wave on my patio, while building my repertoire. I've been woodshedding lots of John Prine lately... Crying or Very sad

My sister made this beautiful art from a photo of 10 year old Henry, getting one of his first boosts last year.

Since everything is CLOSED and the boy is home from college - we (mostly he) built a fun little step down in our side yard...

I need to get some wood for some jumps, that's a great idea.

Been breaking my aching back shovelling and raking dirt though...got heal up and pedal some more before picking up another task...

BTW - anyone got any small wood jumps lying around Wink

The project from hell. 90s-2000s carpet over 70s particleboard, over 105yo flooring. All comes out down to the orig subfloor. Then there's making repairs to the subfloor. After that. 5/8" ply as underlayment. Some areas getting tile, so backerboard there. Rest will be new hardwood flooring. Not getting a ton of help from the kook pictured (you'd think with school closed he would want to fill his time in a productive manner instead of complaining he's bored). Kids these days, geeszch.

The house was extended a while back by a former owner (area of orig front porch annexed and thus living room and one bedroom expanded (with proper foundation at least)). However, the corresponding floors do not match up. I could even feel it with two layers of particleboard, pad and carpet. That will be a bear to correct, but I have a plan.

Orig pine floors not salvageable (as flooring) if wondering. However, saving the very straight grain pine flooring to build into some fat baseboards, door and window moldings appropriate for a turn of the century bungalow (any orig moldings long gone (probably from a remodel that I date to the 70's based on some burnt orange shag carpet fibers I found here and there)).

Working on the back deck and trying to get the weeds under control before kite boarding is reopened.

Really nice craftsmanship here - I'd hire any of ya! Also can't believe how much Henry has grown.

I've been hacking away at my ProMaster build, slow and steady, nothing special. Just finished the second fan for those August nights out east; intake will be cut in the floor. DC consists of an adapter on each pillar, USB charging by the slider, and a laptop/USB charging station where my workstation is going. C and D pillars get AC from 1200W switching inverter, and shore power comes in from the front bumper to its own GFCI on the driver's C pillar (handy light indicator) then onto both the inverter and a 30A DC power supply (currently switched manually but I'm playing with a relay to turn it on and switch DC to it when shore is plugged in). We decided against installing fancy LEDs but I repurposed the two strips that came with the van for "under-bed" lighting on each side, switched from inside the back door.

The bed is made from 2x4s and plywood in two pieces with 'T' legs that can be switched from supporting the "family" configuration (queen) to "solo" (XL twin) to "cargo mode" (bed removed) for versatility - like I said, nothing fancy, just utility.

Anyone know someone in Hood River who can do nice finish work installing fabric over the paneling? (PM me please to avoid van fanatics hijacking thread). And yes, Hein, I know I installed the insulation backwards... ;)

Shred_D_aGorge... cutting and gluing the fabric over the panels is easy....
I used the same system that that Van Specialties and Outside Van use - their supplier is in Portland and open to the public.
I had never done this type of work but it was very easy to get good results.... especially if you already have the panels.

I second that!

the pros also add a thin foam layer - perfectfit also sells - just make sure you consult them on the best glue to use.
