Correct Adam. No buckets on the tractors, but using them to tow logs is ok. You can only move sand from November through February with a permit. |

found this on moving/removing sand and anything in state controlled streams and rivers.
SECTION 4. ORS 196.850 is amended to read:
196.850. (1) Notwithstanding ORS 196.810, the Division of State
Lands may, by rule, grant general authorization for removal of
material from the bed or banks or the filling of any waters of
the state without a permit from the division if the division
finds that those activities subject to the general authorization
are substantially similar in nature and would cause only minimal
individual and cumulative environmental impacts, and would not
result in long-term harm to water resources of the state. The
division shall condition any such general authorization upon
actions necessary to minimize environmental impacts.

Our Right of Entry Permit from the Oregon Department of State Lands is: 38477-RE
All required governmental approvals have been taken care of so we are Full Green Light for tomorrow.
We walked the sandbar this morning and marked the location we want to have the burn pile located. There is much work to do. Everyone bring your shovels. Much of the wood is embedded into the sand - or it would have washed away. Please recruit your friends even if it is only for a short time, we are going to need a lot of people to do the whole job in one day. See you tomorrow - thanks! |
