I saw that last night and am actually going to go talk to the guy sometime tonight, hopefully... We'll see. Gonna try to get it, then take it to SS to check the serial. |

youngun's,
by all means, take all and every action required to retrieve the stolen kite and punish any wrongdoing-but beware posting any suggestion of violence. as with kiting, things can go very wrong very quickly out there. let the police do their thing and stay on the sidelines.
if you wind up doing 6 to 10 for assault, i am interested in any and all good quality used kiting gear.

Hey, is this one of those kites that was stolen from Rooster Rock in the fall of last year...? If yes,,,than I say...Shhhhhhhh...Lets not scare the pricks away. Tucker, do your Magnum PI stuff and get the down low...You can "PM" everyone for back up. The snot putting the kite on ebay, may have nothing to do with this...It might have been his tweeker friend who lives next door... |

Get a good description of the guy. even a camera phone shot of him as he is leaving. Also make sure to get the license plate and make of car. Let jonny law do his thing.
You should call jonny law first and see if he wants to go along as a "buddy". _________________ Cleverly disguised as an adult...

hey guys be careful. Read the thread on bayareakiteboarding from Alison who recovered her new WW kite from a seller on Craig's list. Hopefully, if you involve law enforcement, you will get more support than she did!
Good luck! _________________ Marina

Here is the post from the Bayareakiteboarding site
http://www.bayareakiteboarding.com/about3892-0-asc-0.html
To sum up the post basically the cops didn't really help her and she ended up buying the kite back from the people for $100
Hopefully you guys will have better luck with the recovery. Be careful |

Saw that last night too. He pulled the auction.
Heat must have been on. Cops should still try and investigate it. I love how someone "Gave" him an '06 fuel! LOL.
Tweakers - why don't they just stick to stealing guard rails?
Definately contact the cops, maybe they can get some stuff on em through ebay. |
