| I find having a running dialogue with the kite/board/wind/waves keeps everything in balance. If it goes to shit, sometimes a little song doesn't hurt. Too bad about yesterday blowhard. So close, yet so not windy. See you when I get back from Florida!!! |

hey it was a good opening week
even a 9.0  is fun this time of year
Fl. is gettin warm about now 
Tri's are so cool
someone posted on the big forum a board they use there,
it looked about the size of a half of sheet of plywood !
looks like I'm also heading south- to la la land
to get that fish boat I was telling you about
will hang with Wild Bill and see how wimpy my little 12.0 really is

I like waves not much over head high
and maybe 15-20 knots. I can stay
upwind on my surfboard but I'd much
rather go downwind and get a ride back
from a curious tourist.
I don't mind chasing my board or dropping
my kite and washing in. All part of the fun
in my book. Actually I don't lose my board
near as much anymore. Practice, I guess.
I'm sure you have epic conditions in
Florence but I'm not sure it's what I'm
looking for. Isn't it kind of windy, cold
and desolate most of the time? Thumbs
up to you guys for charging it.
Besides, you wouldn't want to be shown
up by an old dude.  |

last day before the vacation lots of loose ends to tie up.
going to scuba near los barilles. if the wind blows i'll kite otherwise scuba/snorkel every day with the extended family. there's supposedly a world-class reef at cabo pulmo and it might not be around for too many more years...
i'll be back apr 3 - see you then! (and henceforth i'll remember opening day is usually early march when making vacation plans).

Cabo Pulmo was real good. Just south of the resort. Small resteraunt was very good and think there is a dive shop for air, at least was before.
La Ribera just to the North is pretty good when the wind is blowing as well.
