Nak - thanks for the news... hopefully the wind gods will deliver the goods soon.
I'm bringing two lightwind boards, in addition to our regular boards. I think everyone else has a lightwind setup too. Besides that I think hitting those Coba ruins sounds like a cool idea. Last year we went to Tulum, but the Coba pyramid looks a lot bigger than anything we saw there. Do they let you climb it?
Last year we didn't even snorkel, so we'll have to check that out too.
Totally agree with you on Adrian, he's an excellent host! Maybe he'll come up north this year and we can return the favor...
Cheers,
-Phillip

The wind is really picking up today. it's only been about 3 mph, but we had a pretty big gust up to about 4 just now. On the plus side it's 84 and sunny here at paradise beach.
What is the accepted sacrifice to encourage the wind gods to bless one with 15 - 20 knots?

How to get wind from wind gods:
1. pump up all of your kites
2. Lay out lines
3. get kites wet trying to fly them in little to no wind
4. Lay on hot sandy beach for several hours
5. Deflate kite
6. Roll kite up
7. roll lines up
8. pack up gear
9. Change out of wet clothes
Wind will show soon after that

Stand around and drink beers. Do some beach tows with the rental cars. Get to know the local authorities. That seemed to work out alright for us out in Hatteras.

I recomend drinking coppious amounts of SKY.
This won't neceassarily make the wind gods happy, but it will make the local fisherman stop dead in his tracks, stop talking and stare at the kiteboarding freeks.

We tried Trevor's method and it didn't work.
Those fisherman better watch out, no wind = drinking!
Only kiteboarders should breed!

Purple Bear where are you? Maybe in a tequilla induced coma from the 55 gallon sized shooters. We want our fix.

which one is it Phil?
1. tired from too much kiting to post any update
2. just drinking, no update
3. too sunburned to type on a computer
4. not enough kiting, way too hung over, and burnt like a fair skinned NW boy in Mexico to give an update
