Went to the ponds today....really windy. I was overpowered on my 12 M80.
Really good even after low tide.
Should be good Sunday.....prob 20 to 25 mph today.

Wow, so throw the noaa forecast out the window....they said 5-15..

Nice, so even if I get there at 11ish...you are thinking it will still be blowing.....? might be a better bet than rooster.. I'm not totally confident in feasibility of Rooster's gnar this time of year..I'm thinking it might be nuked-out tomm anyways.

Chason - It looked totally do-able if the wind dropped and levels stay the same , though I didn't go out. From vista point, it looked as if shallow water extends quite a ways out - more than last year. I have been there multiple times when the water is at this height, and it is totally do - able. From my experience, if the water is at or near the level of the stairs, it just isn't worth it.-C

We're looking at getting out to the Ponds early. *Crosses Fingers*

I need some wind. My lame ass tried to snowshoe up the swift creek trail to the tree line at Marble Mnt Sno-Park on St. Helens today for some wind, but I failed misserably. First I got lost, then it was so late in the day that I had to turn around. Plus it was super icey. BLAH!

Tucker, give me a ring in the morning (I'd call you now, but I don't have my phone) after you know what you're doing. Might head to the coast for a few hours in the morning. Gotta be back in Portland by 5:00 though.

Viento is the place to go when the rest of the gorge is nuked out on easterlies. I had a solo sesh on Sat afternoon, perfectly powered 9m. I am sure the coast was warmer though. BRRR!
