I am willing to drive, basically where ever the conditions are good around Portland. Any suggestions?

Tucker called me this morning and said even pretty far out east there was still only a couple inches of snow. Probably not too great for snowkiting. We need anohter snow storm!!! Twisted Evil

What about Hood this Saturday?

Forecast calling for 7" and S 26mph.

Does that work at Palmer Glacier?

That'd be awesome... I've been wanting to go up to T-line every night to play, but haven't yet. How do we get up to the Glacier? Hike?

I have never snow kited on MT Hood so I don't know what's what but if it's possible to ride there please keep me mind. I might just go scouting too, if the mountain doesn't work. Any interest?

Skyline sounds slick but unfortunatly is pretty far. There are a ton of places that rock during the winter but none of them are close to Portland. Crying or Very sad
In any case I am glad you had a good time there Registered.

I also curious if you have ridden on Lake McConaughy?

South & West winds can work @ T -line no problem. If you are going to ride out of bounds @ T-Line make sure you sign in @ the climbers registration and take adequate gear, i.e. shovels, peeps. The 'trollers have always been cool as long as you know what you are doing and are prepared.

depending on the day, count me in too. I'll dig around and find my climbing gear. Do you just hike up from the mile and the palmer glacier is yours for the taking?

S26 is a pretty small kite on snow... is my 7m too big? would my 3.5 might be closer?

go gettem on hood.... It is fickle up there for some reason. Out of 30 plus times up there between some friends only a few have produces satiisfying results. It seems like south winds would hit her perfect at palmer area but suppossedly its not so simple. If you all wanted a better bet head to helen or crater.

heres a pic from an area by hoodoo, that sucked... really

and shot from skyline..

reducing pics sucks Evil or Very Mad or I am delayed. Twisted Evil

Probably just going to head up and play in the parking lot tonight (if the wind holds)... Didn't feel like hiking 2600+ vertical feet through deep-ass powder, carrying a board, kites, and wearing snowboarding boots only to get skunked! Laughing

TUCKER, talk the parentals into lettin' ya go yet? Twisted Evil
