Not fictional sorry Nak, True story Cool That douche thief new he was busted and didnt want cops involved or a ass beating cause we had proof he stole it. callin the cops on him would have been a waste of time, one we would have to wait an hour+ for them to show up, try and keep the thief around and gave the situation more time to esculate into a really huge ordeal. Best choice, just take the stolen gear back and drive away.

Made me think of a coupla thieves encounters...
Many moons past my most valuable possession was my motorcycle. Nodding off at 4 a.m. after my bar tending gig, I'm jolted awake by the unmistakable sound of my bike's horn. Running outside in my underwear, I see two guys on my bike. They had it hot-wired and the guy had pushed the horn instead of the start button. He'd found it, tho, and was seconds from getting away when I came running up behind them with furious intent! The guy in back sensed my approach and ducked the punch I threw at full gallop, my momentum sending me into the would be driver with a wicked forearm shiver. Bounced his head off the bars knocking him the fuck out. Chased his buddy for a ways, by the time I got back, the other guy came to and beat feet. The thief attracting ad in the paper bore fruit and sold that beast the next day' Sweeet save!

Shortly after I moved to the gorge, I had a yard sale going in the front yard, kind of honor system going cuz I'd leave the stuff out with a note saying stuff any money under the door. Near dusk two guys stop to look, grab my pair of hob nail boots, jump in their truck and peel out! I'm flabbergasted! Had a price of all of $10 on those suckers. Jumped in my "66 Ford pickup and took after those reprobates!

Chased em all the way to Bumfuck Hills, Wa. before common sense kicked in. Did I really want to confront two sociopaths in the middle of nowhere over a pair of shoes. Not really. Cudda died doing 110 mph on crappy roads. Kind of a wake up call.

Most material possessions are easily replaceable, and very few are worth life or limb.

I've always hoped that my valuables gone astray helped feed some poor down on his luck schmucks family, or got someones Mom that needed operation. More likely some mullet wearing glue head crack monkey gets his tweak on, but such is Karma.

Sometimes you just gotta let it go, and take it as a life lesson.

And sometimes you gotta knock the fuckwads the fuck out.

Yin and Yang, the balance of life.

Friday the 13th last week some crack head stole my bowling ball, bag and shoes out of the back of my truck while I was having lunch. It was a nice new ball only had it 3 weeks, valuable to me cause it is drilled for my hand, no value at all to anybody else you cant even pawn a bowling ball.

Most of us go through a sneak thief phase at some point when we are kids, if you dont grow out of it you are just a piece of shit good for nothing human.

One of my moms old boyfriends stole my paper route money, I worked for months for free paying the Columbian back for that. I have had old friends borrow thousands from me and not pay it back. I have had General contractors not pay thousands in owed money for work done. I have had bikes and other things stolen......it never ceases to amaze me how many good for nothing thieves walk this earth.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, pretty f'ing simple concept people.
