Nak, it was totally fine
No frogger, we parked at a dead end at some sort of water treatment plant. There's a video camera there so cars felt safe. Walked 150 yards to launch from grassy/gravel mini beach.
Hour plus of riding w Consumer and guests.
Fun shallow pools and sandbars. Super light going out, right at edge of wind, but lit in the middle.
We saw a yellow Rebel, 2012-13 style on OR side of river righ when we came in.
Anybody want to claim that one? Launch from Sandy Delta?

| Interesting. There used to be several "no parking", "No Trespassing", "Vehicles will be impounded" signs there. They must have relented to fisherman demands after the new freeway was built. I had called, lobbying for something along those lines during construction, but I was rebuffed at the time. Did you walk on the shoulder and climb down the boulders, or is there now a way cleared below the boulders?

I meant to say Rally. I was a Slingshot Rally, only saw it reach once. It was far away on Oregon side.

When you wee just finishing up? That was me too. I beached my boat on the west shore of the delta. The wind was OK, but the current really picks up just barely west of where you were. I couldn't get upwind against it, so I played in the flat water west of the delta.
Thanks for the 411! I'll have to go walk around and check it out. I thought that launch was a lost cause. Bummed me out 'cause it's 8 minutes from my house.  Did you guys hit the Puffin Cafe post-session? Best fish tacos & rum runners on the planet. About 90 seconds from where you were parked.
