Out of curiosity, do you know Mike Weber in Oahu? |
He lives inside Oahu? |

The best cabo is solid to and so is the ts. The cabo just looks sick in the waves. Rode the CABO and TS once.
Ocean rodeo prodigy is a sick surf kite to! I taught on those all summer.
But personally im use to the rally or rpm or fuel. And I find them a easy ride.
The rally drifts better then the rpm meaning when you start autchually surfing the wave your gonna get more response out of the kite, unlike the rpm where it likes to slack and fall. lol it will drift with proper back line tension though. buut the down side is you gotta lite the kite up or just be super lit so you don't have to over sheet it. |
HAHHAHA aint you the fool who just said you'd rather ride a twin tip in the surf? Or go paddle surfing??? Now you're giving advice on wave kites? |

Tell me what you can do on a surf board that someone on a twin tip could not do.
There are also things twin tips can do in the surf that surfboard don't. |

The float, the rail thickness, rail contours, bigger fins, fin cluster, and foot positioning are all completely different than a twin tip. Its not going to be the same experience. |

Doesnt ride the same obviously but I am talking versatility while riding with a kite.
Surfing obviously not doable with a twin without a kite.

I've surfed my paipo, still can't paddle it though, got to find the peak.
Some guy will surf a wave with boots.
I'd try it if I had boots, but have been trending the opposite direction...
But yeah with a kite, um
you can still pump for speed with a surfboard, up/down or rail/rail, etc. |

I've had a 9m Caution Zombie for a couple seasons now and can't get enough of it and ... The only other "dedicated wave" kite I've used to was the Ozone Reo 8m which was a bit weaker but even better in the waves for side/side-on. Looking to try a Drifter though once they don't cost a fortune... |

I'm 200# & like you prefer c-kites as I ride onshore & sideshore waves, ~8M is my go to kite. There was a classic thread at kiteforum worth a read:

Delta-C is what you are looking for offshore & sideshore waves. ~5M is my favorite size, works great when things go nuclear.
Looks like Side-Off winds in this video...

Definitely try before you buy, because no two kites feel the same (brand/year/etc) as Delta-C's are still being refined unlike our classic c-kites.
Kites I'd to demo: Airush Wave, Caution Spitfire, Ozone Reo, RRD Religion, SS Rally, Switch Method, and many more...
As a c-kite guy, I've been stoked with the kites I've tried from Eclipse & Wainman. |

If you have seen West Hansen from Brokite boards rip a wave with his wave specific TT you know there is more to riding waves than just with a surfboard. If you haven't, then you haven't. |
