ya, ill be interested to hear how this works out. I remember someone had a surfboard stolen and found the person with it trying to sell it on CL and the police wouldn't do anything without the serial number. I had some stuff get snagged out of my car end of summer 2012. Turned out that I had a tweaker neighbor that burgled a bunch of stuff stuff from a bunch of people, got busted, they called me because my name and # were all over everything but then wouldn't give it back to me until he had his day in court. Seems that the system doesn't exactly work the way you think it would

i looked at the craigslist photos. From the photo background and CL location looks like he is operating out of a unit in the Irongate storage on 4th plain in Vancouver. I rented a unit there a couple of years ago when i moved house. Wonder if thief has a storage unit full of stolen stuff?

give him a call and take some buddies and go grab your gear back from this piece of shit. Steal it back and if he doesnt like it to damn bad. Face it the cops won't do crap for you, its waisting time and its a dead end. They dont want to spend time on stuff like this.
