Dave is a great kid.
There are plenty of douchebag riders where he lives but very few young riders, if any of his caliber as a person. Dave is short but he towers over most.
When it comes to kids they dont have to be the best or go the biggest.
A great attitude on a kiting kid is worth 100 assholes who rip.
In fact I must add that when I used to sponsor riders it was way way more important to have a good example of humanity flying your colors who is well spoken, polite, future minded, responsible, helpful and kind. That is always more important than having the biggest riper in town who was alway too stoned to speak and did not have 2 brain cell to rub together flying your colors.
The days of the sponsored scumbag ripper are nearing an end.
Just keep it up dude ! See ya soon. Lets go do some freaky landings in that Cesna .....

I'm always pumped to see anyone else pumped. I like to see kids get jacked..... Even more importantly, I like to see kids with parents that support them. So kudos for the kid, and kudos for the parents for making it all happen! Besides, i'm sure they put up the money for the kids kites! good on you kid, and good on the parents for supporting and helping with the dream.

seriously... just look at pro surfing in the last 5 years. Sponsors aren't willing to pay rippers with attitudes. They want good representatives of their brand and the sport who can speak in full sentences and give good, positive interviews. |

Absolutely..... Sponsors will always need locals that speak in complete sentences and wear there pants around there waist. Just as in the ski industry, its not the 14 year old kids that are buying the 6000 bucks worth of kites and 3000 in ski gear each year...... This is on the front of the industries mind I'm sure.... riders with such attitude haven't been tolerated for years in the ski industry.... Humble rippers and characters that make everyone smile usually get the job,I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to have influence on the picking of a team before.... and I'm telling you that so many people rip, that it becomes a attitude and work ethic issue on the local level....... Shops will always fight for them, and shops are the retailers that drive most industry..... |

Cool video, always nice to see something different. I must admit is does get boring watching the same "pro riders" do the same moves at the same spots...... Great job of changing it up!
