I just wanted to say thanks to the dude that retrieved my board twice from the columbia river at the sand bar today.
I was really struggling out there in the swells (my first time in deep water, and the current was taking my board). The first time he dropped my board right next to me. I dove the kite to hard, ate shit, crashed my kite, and lost my board again. Thankfully, I was able to get it back into the air and body drag back in to shore where I found my board waiting for me.

| ...I saw the Dangler perform a board rescue yesterday. The kite got away from the rider and both were heading for Bozo beach. Dangler was on the scene and helped rescue the board.

I'm freaking out. First that sweet pic which I've already framed and put above my desk. Then the article/interview which is now my bible (so that's how he got the name). Then The D - himself actually posts on this forum. Plus SI was good yesterday and will probably be good again today. I can't work under these conditions.
I want to thank Forrest for starting this thread.
