the computer always calls for morning drizzle due to marine layer. usually not a problem for manzo. forecast looks good. high pressure in place.

Today was CRAPPY at Manzanita 10 to 30mph, not much fun with the kite zooming all over the place, under powered, then over powered, falling, just crazy gusty wind.

It's been WINDY, please bring small kites (at least an 8m), I'm tired of seeing 10m kites flying in 30mph wind, just not safe.

Yesterday I was on my 5m and powered (and I'm 200lbs), and sure enough, there were 10m kites up Shocked

South Coast is lit up through the weekend! Come on...it's only a 7hr drive!

SimPistol, any ideas where a couple of strapless hacks from Canada might find some wind/waves next Wed-Fri? Is it still too far away to predict? Not looking for too much aggro, and nearby camping and good fruit/vege produce is a bonus. It has been many years since we've been in those parts. Thanks and maybe see you on the water.

Place a map of the southern coast on a dart board. Place blindfold over eyes and throw dart at dart board. Where the dart hits, it most likely will be windy there.

Tough to say. Everything seems to be calming down next week. PM me early next week if you want detailed analysis (aka: my opinion).

Bump. Any locals insight for the coast this week (mon-fri)? Was planning on staying at Nehalem Bay/chasing wind within a reasonable distance.
Thanks
