Oh dear. were you swimming for so long that you lost sight of it? or do you think someone snatched it up? bummer either way girl. hope you find it.

Ashleigh, the swim in wasn't too bad, thanks! Although i did get caught in a rip and had to start swimming adjacent to the shore for a bit, and the tide was outgoing at the time'Rolling Eyes'...that's when i lost site of the kite!

I hope he gets his kite back too! It's KSP, don't they have a response team w/triple overhead surf...I know I would have to put it to use'Embarassed'

Sorry Kirstan. This happens from time to time here. The shoreline between Ft Stevens and Gearhart is curved so even though onshore, the kite will tumble downwind and have trouble getting to shore. I would check w/the fire & police departments in Gearhart and Seaside. Check Cleanline and I'll put the word out to fishermen who work the coast here.

I forgot about contacting the authorities until you posted that - thanks for reminding me...DONE...I actually went up to Camp Rilea? and they were able to drive me up and down the coastline on the search for my kite, w/a cease fire twice to get through their shooting range'Embarassed' - that was super nice - they got some goods for the effort'Very Happy' during that drive I actually saw the Coast Guard flying overhead and was hoping the lieutenant driving me could contact them, but he doesn't have radio order's, as it were, to use the airwaves that way...oh well!

Check, Thanks again.

I'm not going to be able to afford all this beer for all your niceties out there, and especially now that I have to replace my damn kite'Crying or Very sad'

I'll try to keep my cooler full...

Didn't see your kite on the second trip down either. Sorry. I did find JPerry's board heading South at a pretty good clip. So, if it didn't sink, my guess is it went South. Keep your fingers crossed.
