Can't you create some better strategy than just locking his political posts down? Create an "off-topic" section, or heck, a "Hein's corner" section.

Or how bout just prefix off-topic posts with "OT:"?

Hein knows the "rules"... Smile

(Seriously, it's nothing personal - I agree he has great information, that's my point. I want to read what he has to say about kiting, not politics).

I guess all those other "hobby specific" forums that have an OT section must be morons to set it up that way.

Why follow the herd? Creating a special section for OT lacks logic as it waters down what the forum is all about....kiting in the PNW.

We get it PJC....you like political banter....so does Hein....so go to those sites and be with your people....I'm sure those lurkers are more informed because that is their passion so their debate should be thought provoking. Wow.....you went door-to-door trying to impeach Bush. How'd that go for ya? On a political forum that probably goes a long way in status...but here on this forum I view that initiative as the biggest time wasting endeavor when you should have been on the water.

just like this thread so, once again, post up whatever you like....nobody will care and the cool thing is people have the choice to read it or not. I enjoy non-kiting forums but those sites will never know I kite. Why? Because they are on that site for a SPECIFIC interest.....and it's self serving of me to take their focus and time in another direction.

just making a suggestion no need to get your panties in a bunch. i sort of want to hear more from hein and the hein-kind, but im not going to troll some political site where, for all i know, it's just some comic-book-collector in his basement slagging off.

Found this online as I knew nothing about this care or why so many were against it !
I didn't get far but realized that in the US as in Canada , Auto insurance is compulsary !!!??? Or a penalty in the form of a fine is to be paid .
So how is it that one insurance is a threat to the constitution and the other not ?

www.conservapedia.com/ObamaCare
On June 28, 2012, the Supreme Courtvoted 5–4 that, while Obamacare exceeded Congress’s authority under the commerce clause, the law was a permissible tax under the Constitution. [7]. The constitutionality of Obamacare was originally challenged under the theory that it exceeded the limitations of the commerce clause; more than 20 federal lawsuits have been filed against ObamaCare since President Barack Obama signed it into law.[8][9] In total, 27 states have started or joined in a lawsuit against Obamacare.[10] A federal judge ruled on 13 December 2010 that a central component of ObamaCare, the requirement that most Americans carry insurance or pay a penalty, violates the Constitution. U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson is quoted as saying the law "exceeds the constitutional boundaries of congressional power."[11] Then on 31 January 2011 federal judge Roger Vinson ruled that as a result of the unconstitutionality of the "individual mandate" that requires people to buy insurance, the entire law must be declared void

Here in Canada we have to have Health care , you have to be enrolled and a premium paid . In Alberta the Provincial Government pays the premium as of last year .
Wait times and quality of care are no different .
I had a bad accident and all is paid 5 days hospital , surgery , etc . Cost ? , I have no Idea .
I had metal debris in my eye , had it removed after an hour and a half wait in Emergency. No cost .
I was on Maui and contracted a Staph infection . 3.5 hrs wait time at Maui Memorial Emergency . Then the doc did his thing and an IV of antibiotics another couple of hours . Cost $3005.00 US ! ( my work health insurance covers whatever alberta Health doesn't so no cost to me ) health insurance is a saviour for any that need and you just never know do you ?!

Is this off topic enough to provoke thoughts of , Awww fk it , lets go kite !!!

Its not a perfect system by any stretch of the imagination though. Since you're up in Edmonton, you may not remember when a young man in Calgary was brought to a hospital, with suspected acute appendicitis. His family had to sit and watch him deteriorate while the ER staff refused to bump him ahead of the line and get him seen by a doctor. In desperation, they tried to take him to another hospital, but he died en-route.

My wife nearly suffered the same fate at Peter Lougheed (Calgary). She felt very "off" and I could tell looking at her something was really wrong. We went to a doctor at a walk-in medical clinic, who was convinced she needed her appendix out, and gave me a letter to give to the emergency admitting when we got there. I gave the admitting nurse the letter... she couldn't have cared less. We waited for hours and hours. Eventually my wife was in so much pain, she was lying curled up on the floor moaning. I repeatedly stated that we'd seen a doctor at a walk-in clinic, that they suspected it was her appendix, and asked that she get looked at immediately. I was told to "calm down" that "everyone's sick" and that my wife was just "putting on a show". I called the doctor at the clinic who could not friggin believe she hadn't been admitted. She thought I didn't give the letter and was mad at me, but when I explained I had she said she'd call the ER directly... just then, they called my wife's name. She got examined, then, while still in great pain, the doctor casually brought in a "learning doctor" who also examined her... pushing on her appendix causing her more distress. All of the doctors and nurses involved couldn't have cared one iota whether she was in pain, or how soon they got to her. In the wee hours of the morning of the NEXT DAY they finally operated, but her appendix had burst and she almost died. She had to spend 5 days in the hospital on a massive round of anti-botics.

US medical costs a lot... but "free" medical care could cost you your life.
