Still plenty of snowpack for a little Simco mtn snowkite action, Saturday's forecast looks as good as it gets. (Someone forget their small kite, so it blows really hard ). Then pack it up, for a Maryhill to Rufus downwinder. Ro Sham Bo, sacrifice, volunteer driver required! A few OG's are leading the pack, so no excuses for not having enough in yeah. See you on the water, I mean snow.

There were more Simcoe snowkiters out, than there were Rufus kiters, go figure. . Love the swell, but snowkiting in a t shirt on perfect corn snow is hard to beat.

WINDUDE, I can tell you had a "fullness of the void" kind of day...a.k.a your exactly where you want to be, where time and flying through space, and wishing you were somewhere else doesn't even exist. That is why we all live in the Gorge, because it provides so many "what did you do today, kinda of days! Next time put your rally cap on and make it out to the dance party.

Thanks for posting Brad and rallying all the kiters. And it was amazing to see more snowkiters at Indian Rock than kitesurfers at Rufus. Can't wait for the next time we can get great snowkite and kitesurf conditions on the same day.

Excellent POV double day kite porn.
Respect for the commitment. Not a simple accomplishment to achieve.

Sella,
Kinda of a long day, would compared it to driving out to the coast for a single session. Its really not bad thou, since you have to drive over John Day Dam anyways. Just check the big flag, (no north aspect) and you know Rufus is on. I give it up for Luke, for ski touring up (we brought our sleds) and then carrying a big bag of snow back for the annual "snow melts too water" ceremony. We chased wind over snow all winter in CA, NV, WA, OR, UT, ID, MT, WY, and last but not least AK. So "getting it" in our backyard is always cool.
Next, year I want to bring a icechest full of snow to Rufus. Build a Mr.Bill snowman, and slash a big cut back, and yell. "oh no, Mr. Bill run for the hills! Ok, back to work!
