I'm so in the loop.
Nice vid, good on ya Lance et al. Coulda used a few more hot babes bull riding, but hey, one's better than none. More babes less choads.
Any plans to release a commercial version of -_"Human Bird Wings" any time soon?-_-
Man, you just can't buy publicity like that.

As a Slingy rider you would think Bri Chmel would want more riding exposure than just 1:12 - 1:15. ....or....maybe not?

how that name mixes memory with desire....
and with her low center of gravity and athleticism, I bet she could ride that bull into the ground.

hey shy I noticed in the vid rienstra uses a 5 line bar.
I was thinking the fuels went to 4 lines.
Is the 5 lines merely for aid in relaunch?

Yo Stringy, the fuels come stock with 4 lines but I added the 5th aftermarket. You just run the 5th right through the css. It's not necessarily for relaunch as the fuels relaunch without it. The reason I use it is so that when I miss an unhooked trick the kite depowers 100%. I've broken so many leashes and ripped the inserts out of the boards because of the kite powering up after I catch rail. Not to mention the kite slams into the water sometimes instead to floating down harmlessly. And on rails if you fall to the upwind side you can let go without getting pulled back into it. The 4 line css can do the same thing but there is potential for the bar to travel too far up the line and tangle everything up.

hey eric thanks for the explanation.
I have a couple of friends on 5 liners up here and have modified their gear so the 5th has a custom stopper to prevent the bars from running too far. not the safest setup for less experienced riders, but saves mucho time and grief when you have to recover from letting go of the bar.

Stringy that works way good you just need to make sure that the stopper is the same length from the bar as the leading edge is from the ground when you stand the kite up on its wing tips. Anyways im pretty sure thats how we used to do it, correct me if im wrong though someone.

Not sure how this ties into the original post but Lyle is still a big no for crossing the railroad tracks and legal access ain't gonna happen anytime soon....if ever. I've read you can use a boat from the easterly boat ramp and paddle/row/motor over to the sandbar with your gear etc. Never cared to put that much effort into it as many other Gorge access spots are easier and legal.
If you're coming from Central WA think about checking out Rufus. It can be incredible swell with a cool kiting crowd.
