The reason was... a new rig, jumping first time slider up, and first time with a smaller pilot chute (32")... Gut instinct made the hand go, even though the mind knew I probably had more time. In the end it opened perfectly, and now I have good confidence in this rig/pack configuration. We are going again tomorrow night in good weather, and I will take it much further down.. Sure wish the weather would have been better... I just got in my one BASE run as we had lots of pilots out to tow. Bummed I did not get an ACRO run on my paraglider.
