Anyone up for a trip to Brazil

Hey all,

I have heard talk on the beach of awesome kiting on the N.E. coast of Brazil.

Anybody up for a trip in September or October. I understand that people are going down this fall.

Who's up for it?

What have you all heard of this place?

And if you are really interested in going let's rally a NW group.

fortaleza, cumbuco, prea, jericoroa (sp?) are supposed to be the places to go. there's now a direct flight from miami to fortaleza for about a grand. you leave miami at night and get in around mid morning with enough time to clear customs and get on the water. i think visa's take 3-4 weeks to get though.

i had a trip planned for sept but worked just got in the way. i would love to do a week though. who's going?

Yes but she kites...... it would be hard to convice her its a work or ski trip Laughing

I have a DVD on brazil on the way from Kiteadventures.com. They put together trips down there and they look pretty good. Check out the site.

There is also a local company in HR who can book trips to Jericoacoara. You will need to fly in to Fortaleza. The best way is to fly in to Miami and take the flight that departs Miami at 8pm Miami time and arrives at 8am Fortaleza time. Otherwise, you may be routed to Sau Palo or Rio and then Fortaleza. That would be like flying from Vancouver to San Diego just to get to Portland. From Fortaleza to Jericoacoara is another 4 hours of travel in 4 wheel drive vehicles across unspoiled beaches of northeast Brazil with LOTS of kiting in between. Jericoacoara is a national park for Brazil, so you can just imagine how beautiful the place is.

Hey Guys,
We organize everything you need for incredible DOWNWINDERS in Brazil, also got flat water, lagoons, reefs, waves etc.

10+ kite spots by 4x4s and dune buggies on the beach. It's really a hassle doing it yourself, we've tried and that's why we put together Kite Adventures, the wind blows 18-30 knots from July - end of December where September, October and November are the best months. We've got it dialed!

We work with Jeffro at Urban Surf who runs our Asia tours, anyway, Brazil is the best and yes, if your wife kites, it'll be a great trip. We've got some awesome trips upcoming this fall-

We offer 7 and 10 day trips to Brazil, also Asia, Sardinia and Greece (and Snowkiting in Utah!)

I`ve a house for rent in Paracuru, Ceara, Brazil.. It`s 50 min with taxi from fortaleza airport, it has swimmingpool, 4 bedrooms, and a big garden.
