Can anybody out there varify that there is camping at Roosevelt (officially or unofficially). Back in the poleboarding days people used to camp there but i havent been there in years.
are there any other good spot people know of in that area? Rufus is good if you like camping in a windy gravel pit
cheers,

Yes, you can pitch a tent anywhere on the lawn areas. Be carefull of the sprinklers! but then again I have never seen them go off on a weekend.
Roosevelt is a mecca, very nice swell when its windy. |

You can camp there for free. It's really nice big grass area with picnic benches, bathrooms, showers (I think it's only cold water though). No campfires allowed. |

And don't forget... the sprinklers come on at night. So, you'll want to place a beer cooler between the sprinkler and your tent |
