Wild West Watersports Day-Use Park on the waterfront of the 'town in transition' (from industry to recreation) Predictable, summer thermal winds late in afternoon blow, 4-8 pm wide open inlet warm water, shortie or just a rash guard required One hour from the Nanaimo ferry (over the hump) on the way to Tofino, or 2 1/2 hrs from Victoria (Pt Angeles ferry or Clipper from Seattle).
