The only 2 cents I have to add is that retaliation is only going to be counterproductive - even "retaliation" in the sense of hanging around longer (in his face) instead of continuing on your way to the tunnels - and more people intentionally going up there to "hang around."
Leave the WS to have their narrow stretches and pass through peacefully, and things will settle down. There is plenty of swell to enjoy without parking right in front of the hatch or swell city. |

This agro attitude is no different then some asshole with road rage. It will get someone killed or injured. Retaliation is not the answer but should this be a reoccurring problem maybe someone with a camera should film it. Maybe when all his friends see what a tool he is on youtube maybe he will change his attitude. |

Eric, don't be swayed by the private messages. There is no reason why someone's childish behavior shouldn't be called out in front of their peers. Good on you.
Man, the coast was awesome this week. Windsurfers and kiters riding together, and even catching a beer together in the parking lot afterwards. WTF is with the attitude in the Gorge? |

I think the thing about the gorge is that the kiters and WS'ers all park and launch in different places so they don't hang out together, either before or after sessions. If we all parked together I'm sure people would mix more and share a beer afterwards.
It's probably just that simple. |

As much talk as there's been of a gorge wind divide, I think it's helpful to keep in mind that the general attitude of the masses this year at the Event site has been great. I honestly think a very large majority of those who windsurf from the Event site appreciate the infusion of energy that kiting's brought to the spot as restrictions have been wisely eased on kiting. Not to mention, the place wouldn't have the food options that it does, without the extra people. Which reminds me, a huge thumbs up to the food vendors who've taken the risk and set up shop. The food situation at the Event site is currently tip-top. _________________ revitalized by muthu-nachu |
