Hope not, kinda thought it was cool that they did that, that road was getting out of control. Respect the locals down there- they deserve it! |

Respecting legal beach access or respecting locals?
Kauai??
You probably get pretty far over there not respecting the locals and their customs: i.e. beach access. Why should Newport be any different than Hanalei Bay? |

No, just a poke at not knowing where that was, not Newport. I will never be a local anywhere but Oregon. Seeing Hawaii makes me realize how much respect Oregonians have for their special surf spots, locals and visitors alike. Hanalei is the epitome of disrespect, might as well be Malibu. Just joking and playing on the post name, nothing personal.
