In the text they indicated some guys were kiting it as well. I'd like to see some photos/video of that!

I want! Looked like a perfect day for those guys. Glad everyone survived. Ditto on seeing some kiting footage. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

no kiters were out when we we were there but heard Cameron Dietrich and Flash Austin kited up from Lanes which is pretty sick in itself - the vids i've seen dont show much
the wind angle may be bit too far off for kiters to kill it down the line - Tho it may just be a matter of time - the windsurfers have been there before tow surfing was invented to put it in perspective

INSANE!
I am down at the Santa Cruz, CA American Windsurf Tour event right now, yesterday was going off pretty good, it is amazing to watch the likes of Francisco Goya live and in person, that guy is a freakin magician on the waves! Killer show out there. Of course I went out and got some too!

My expierence with offshore wind kite wave riding is that the wave pushing you windward at 20 mph and a 15 mph wind adds up to some too fast kite wave riding.
The blow boarders have the ability to ride the board easily with no power other than the wave
and with an offshore wind they also have power on the face to haul ass outta there.
nice clean faces but I'll take side on

That is just so frickin' insane! I can't even remotely relate to pursuing that kind of a wave.

such a shit show. Kiting there just seems extra sketchy not because of the wave but because you got helicopters hovering around. _________________ BIP- "YOUR GIRLFRIENDS FAVORITE"

Wicked pictures & video. I just don't get the windsurf-kite angst. Geez, at least people are out there having a good time.
