Sat Apr 16, 11 11:52 am OT: Blazers or Mavs? |
|
|
The following question is for people who love sports.
If you've got the 'millionaires running around on a court' stick up your butt, please don't respond. You can say that during the regular season if you want but have some decency during the playoffs.
That being said, here's the simple question:
Blazers or Mavs and in how many games?

BLAZERS in 6! Gerald Wallace is what we needed to get out of the 1st round.

Blazers in 6/7. Another vote for Wallace-talent with team work, that man is.

I got Blazers in 6 as well.
They'll split the first two in Dallas.
Blazers will win both at home.
Dallas gets revenge back in Dallas.
Blazers ride Gerald Wallace to a brutal win in Game 6.
I celebrate with Jagermeister and wake up next to a midget prostitute.
(pretty good odds of all the above actually happening)

With Gerald Wallace but more importantly the offense running through L.A. definitely should make Portland tougher than the past in the playoffs. Andre backs down Kidd, Dirk and Terry go cold, and Blazers take it in 5.

I'm kind of cheating since I'm predicting after game one, but I'll still pick the Blazers in 6.
We had the game last night until Dirk went mental. That dude throws up the shittiest shots and they go in.
Wallace will not have another bad game. LA will continue to go off. If we can refrain from running the Brandon Roy goes 1 on 5 Iso play that hasn't worked in the playoffs, we should be fine.
Tough loss, but we were not really supposed to win that game anyway.

I'm with Andy. Not a bad loss. If anything it will motivate Wallace. LA was outstanding.

Sorry guys, there is no way the cursed Blazers will beat the Mavs team with all of their tried and true big game experience even with the new Blazer standout. I enjoy watching the defeat of Texas in any format possible but unfortunately I just don't see it happening. I give the blazers 1 maybe 2 victories in the series.

Tried and true big game experience of losing in the first round 5 years in a row? Or are you talking about the tried and true experience of being a 1 seed, going up 2-0 on the eight seeded golden state warriors, then getting swept?
Here comes the sweep from the blazers after last night!

Jason Kidd had his time in the sun. Now it's Rudy's or Wesley's turn.
If they win game 2 everything will be OK.
Agreed?

Roy has got the millions and is lame and now plays like he has a stick up his butt and the stick is stuck in the mud. That boy can't jump or cut anymore. After the season, whenever that is, time to "cut bait" and get rid of him. I don't care if we just paid him 50+ million. Always hated Roy's slow/half court game and it ruined things for everyone else. I like the team play without him and having LA as our # 1 guy.
Now that it is out of my system, I'll take Blazers in 7 games.

Anyone changing their 'playoff forecast'?
Anyone having a change of heart down 2-1 in the series?
I personally might have to switch to 7 games instead of 6.
Still not as bright-eyed as I was when this started. Kind of nervous but hopeful.

Ha, didn't take long for me to choke on that one. . .hats off to Mr. Roy--I'm happy for him with all that he has go through! However, I'm still sticking with my statement. Long-term/next year he isn't going to be doing that night after night. We need consistency.
Blazers in 7 games. . .

Ok, so now that the series is tied and the Blazers fans are rejuvenated, who wants to put up a friendly wager consisting of extra gear? Here's what I'm willing to put up for a Mavericks series victory:
A beat up MBS Landboard with a blown tire, or
A variety of dry tops, throwbags, helmet and underlayers for ww kayaking, or
a 2005 Naish Boxer 9m, kite only
AT Carbon fiber ww kayak paddle, or
Bench press, dumbells, adjustable bench, barbells, other exercise equip..
So, with that having been said, is anyone interested in putting up a small gear wager? I wouldn't mind making this a little more interesting and since I know how feverish you Portland fans are I figure this is a great opportunity to snatch up some more sub-par gear from you vulnerable Blazer fans.
Cmon, lets hear what you've got to wager on the debacle soon to unfold...
Cheers,
