Sadly probably the most realistic guess.

DMV shows 4 but ST Helens shows 12 at the moment on WOTW. We really need a kite beach cam Sad

Aviation forecast is 6 for today so probably not that promising. Maybe someone that lives close can check it out.

If you only knew! Chasing SI sessions is a rite of passage. That is why Raindoggies are so very important.

I thought IKite finally put in a sensor @ SI? Or is that the plan?

Alright, I'll admit it. I went out there a couple of days ago when the sensor was looking pretty promising. Pumped up, the wind looked awful, but I had no beer and I was anxious to check out the Bandit4 12m. Got all dressed up, a little squall was coming, self launched, but the wind was coming from at least 3 directions, none of which were favorable. Kite got wet but I did not, so I don't think I can claim it. To make a long post longer, I'll bet on 4/19.

They put it up last season. It's just north of the island.

Sorry Mark and Holly, 4-20 is already taken. If one of you are wise, you might want to change your guess to 4-7-11 as it is currently blowing 13 mph to 17mph from 340 degrees!

Someone is going to get some, or maybe the fickle bitch will just tease enough to make people go out and then she will shut it down.

Never know with the SI temptress.

So, did anyone score the magical session out at SI yesterday. Readings looked stout enough. Pic's?

SI 2011 is still a virgin. It was actually working great, but it was way too cold for my tastes. If I'd had a dry suit and if I wasn't the only person there, it would have gone.

The wind kicked in good and steady about 5:30 or so and it got super boaty. I just flew my 5M foil for a while and enjoyed the sunshine.

The beach is pretty small and there's lots of debris. Quite a few fishermen too. One of whom expressed his disappointment that kiters might be showing up soon...

Apparently their big season ends 15-Apr, so no biggie.

I stopped by Jones at about 5:30pm on the way back from flying Area B today. It was working good. Nobody there but fishermen and dirt bikers.
