Everyone should spend time up there. As PDXmB says...Alaska=Immense. The place will redefine your sense of space and distance. Dip netting Copper River Reds during my time there has to be one of the purest food gathering acts of all time. No boat, no fishing rod, no bullshit. The fish runs in AK are sick. Go see.
If desrtwind is offering to take someone to fish AND Kite..what the hell are you waiting for...... step up and try and go see some country.
