Has anyone been hitting Dalles Mountain this year? Looks well covered from the freeway cam. And some east wind showing right now on the High Prarie - Lyle sensor.

Tomorrow's forecasting calm winds for the Dalles so today might be it.

If you can catch the east winds on Hood before they turn you can try going above Timberline.

Kochease you better do lots of lessons this summer and save up for a sled. If you get one then I'll have to get one as well. Safety in numbers, I've heard too many horror stories of lone sleds breakin down in the middle of nowhere with no cell coverage and no road access.

Thinking about rolling the dice and driving out to the Dalles Mtn...High Prarie - Lyle sensor is saying it might pick up to double digits in the afternoon..

Anybody have some helpful words of wisdom? I don't really want to go fight the crowds at meadows...Should I go, or find something productive to do with my day?

Wanna go: with scenery like that displayed I'm gonna have to start saving for a sled. That is some beautiful country, and if you get up there and there's no wind you can just have a good ol back country powder sesh.

Ya, drove all the way past the radio towers, and no snow. It looked like it could have been covered up from the cam, and driving up there. Oh well, won't be long until spring is here!

I went up to St. Helens this past Wednesday and it poured down rain. The snow was deep (4-5 feet) but the cloud layer precluded me from getting up to the Plains of Abraham. Hopefully next time it will clear out.
