Nice to see we are getting some attention.
Does that mean more and better launches; or just more and dumber people thinking they can board without lessons clogging up the existing launches? _________________ Captain kook; always wrong. |

means the states will probly find a way to tax and license it. It also means more loot to choose from in the classifieds.

Funny thing is the NY Times were either pitched incorrectly or missed the story...
Leading off the article with an image of Shawn Richman riding freestyle... claiming the IOC wants X games appeal, etc...
Not really the true image and excitement that course racing will provide... racing large windsurf type boards with giant fins in minimal wind...
Guess we'll continue to watch and see.. but at the same time, a bummer that the media uses exciting freestyle kiting images to promote the chance that kiteboard course racing might be in the olympics... kind of misleading, yeah?
Not a hater.. just wish those pushing for olympic kite racing wouldn't revert to using other kiteboarding imagery to gain momentum, when in the end, that's not what will be in the olympics or how it will look... _________________ Liquid Force Kiteboarding in the Pacific Northwest.

2016 olympics in Rio. Any idea where the sailing venue is?
Yeah. I don't see NBC or any TV channel devoting time to course racing. Windsurfing got zero TV coverage on TV. Webcast maybe.
Maybe they can combine the modern archery with the course racing. That would up the 'X' factor. |
