In the US I would vote for Hanalei, HI.
If it were just for Oregon I would go with Newport!!

By far the coolest little town I have ever lived in.
And it's also the town that no one pays attention to......but if they did they would be surprised.
It's the first city established on the entire west coast.
It's old....and still LOOKS old...but restored.
That's a good thing...and hard to find these days with suburbia and strip malls infecting the landscape everywhere.
Columbia River, youngs Bay, and the ocean.
It's more water than land.
