Arrest me red, both these things are too fast... Very Happy

Had to trade the 944 for a Subaru a couple years ago when getting to the kitebeach reliably became a bigger priority than 0-60 time. Also bumming rides to the mountain was getting a little old.

The Porsche gave out more grief than joy, though I think it did make my mechanic a very happy man. Still its fun to look at some old photos of it.

In reality, the Hein is 10x times more fun.

lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps? Well, you have a sweet board. And you're really good at hooking up with chicks. Plus you're like the only guy at school who has a mustache.

So that's you jumping over Hood?! Shocked

That board looks awesome.

ounce for ounce the Hein is probably faster, and of course red will get you more speeding tickets from the river police.

The board is awesome... of course its a little more scratched up now then when I took those shots. Maybe at the end of the season I will sand it down and take it to a paint shop and have them paint it "Guards Red" to match my old Porsche. Very Happy

Vote for Pedro.

Yes very sad. This is too late if you didn't know this already but I heard a guy was successful retrieving a board by driving down to the Corbett exit. Not sure though how fast you'd have to get down there.

Hey, how bout another run at it today? PKH I have a spare harness.

Thanks you for the condolences. I think the new one will have to be red again, in honor of the old one!

I did some downwind searching, but didn't try the Corbett check. Maybe I will head back out there later. I don't think I can get out in time for east winds though.

I got a backup harness and board ready to go if things look good again soon. Thumb's Up

DAX, What happened? I can see how one would be able to loose a board in the East winds, but not a harness. Did you leave it at somewhere again? Good thing you have lots of good Karma. Perhaps both will show up again.

I still got the harness, it went like this:

1) Riding 7m pretty overpowered, decide to go for a jump.

2) Send it, harness webbing tears off the side of harness at the stiching (second time on the Pyro this has happened.)

3) Still have hands on bar and up on board, trying to steer kite back towards shore and getting ready to unhook/release kite to leash (lucky I was not clipped into the CL for this sesh.)

4) Gust hits I lose control and crash, losing my board, kite crashes in the water.

5) In the water now, scan upwind for my board but the unusually large swell (for Rooster it was huge, 2-3 feet) makes it impossible to find on the horizon.

6) Self rescue into the beach.

Afterwards I checked all the spots downwind it might have washed up onto, but no dice.

Oh well, already dreaming of the new one. Thumb's Up
