Rooster is over 40mph at the moment!!!

Gusts over 50.

Seems way too strong even on my six.

What do you think - will it calm down later?

Sometime this afternoon probably. The Troutdale aviation forecast shows a rapid drop off around 2:00.

So the 10m isn't going to work? Heading out in a bit!

Pressure is increasing now, though...

4 meters lol. That's crazy windy. I just looked at WindOnTheWater and it reads 23 at the moment. Didn't see any kiters out on the water but I'm real tempted to go. Probably should give my back a little more time before I abuse it like that though even with a 7m that's pretty strong isn't it?

Chris is out on the 5m now, Ken's taking the 4.5, Kelly's heading out on his 7m, and I'm taking the 6m!

Add ten knots to anything the troutdale sensor says. That will get you the average wind speed. Add ANOTHER 10 knots for gusts (until about 12 when temps start to regulate). After 1 or 2 the gusts will decrease.

So if its 7am and tdale is saying 23. You should expect actual winds to be in the range of 20-35. The ponds tend to be a little gustier than the beach itself. (or at least that has been my experience).

Anyone up for dawn patrol?
